Paulina Vergara is a Ph.D. in Natural Resource Sciences and Management from Colombia. She is a Junior Researcher at the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation with national and international research experience, trained to formulate, execute and evaluate projects and research in environmental management, geography, corporate social responsibility, as well as the management of research information, submission, and publication of results.
Her research interest focuses on the paramo ecosystem. She plans to asses a historical analysis of human–nature relationships, which is essential to understand the cultural and natural wealth of each territory. Likewise, she will recognize environmental dynamics that constitute a potential for the management and protection of ecosystems, she will carry out an investigation that links the peasant as a stakeholder within his/her territory, in addition to his participation in conservation and environmental management.
